ATLAS.ti

ATLAS.ti
Qualitative research software for coding, exploring and visualizing text, audio, video and other research data.

Our Take
ATLAS.ti is designed for qualitative analysis of interviews, focus groups, documents, and other text or media. Its coding, memo, query, and visualization features can help researchers organize large collections of material and examine patterns across cases while retaining links to source excerpts.
Software can support the analysis process but cannot decide what a code means, establish that a theme is valid, or remove researcher bias. Automated features and team collaboration also need to fit the study's method and data-protection requirements.
Develop and test a codebook, keep analytic memos, and record how interpretations change as you review the data. Check any automated suggestions against original excerpts, and ensure that participant consent and institutional rules allow the chosen storage and collaboration arrangements.
