Jupyter + GitHub Copilot
Jupyter + GitHub Copilot
Interactive notebook environment combined with an AI coding assistant for exploratory data analysis, statistics and reproducible computational research.
Developer:
Project Jupyter / GitHub
Our Take
Jupyter notebooks paired with GitHub Copilot can speed up code-based research by helping draft Python or R code, explain unfamiliar snippets, debug errors, and iterate on data analysis inside a notebook workflow. It is most useful when you want to combine executable code, outputs, charts, and written interpretation in one place.
Copilot is a coding assistant, not a statistical reviewer. Suggestions can use the wrong method, mishandle missing values, or produce code that runs but answers the wrong question.
Validate calculations and assumptions independently, test generated code on known cases, and document key decisions. Keep notebook outputs and dependencies organized so another researcher can rerun the work.

Interactive code notebooks, Python execution and outputs, Inline code completion, Markdown and code in one document
